Meet the team

Tessa Bentulan

Tessa Bentulan is a multimedia journalist for WUFT News. She anchors the station’s 5 p.m. newscast and is one of the hosts for NPR’s Morning Edition on WUFT-FM. Her passion for reporting and storytelling has given her the opportunity to intern at news stations including South Florida PBS in Miami and TV20 in Gainesville. Tessa was born and raised in Miami, Florida. She is pursuing her Bachelor’s at UF with a degree in Telecommunication – News. You can follow her on Twitter @TessaBentulan.

Henry Coburn

Henry is an award-winning broadcast journalist for WUFT News. The Australian-American has interned at both KNOE 8 News in Monroe, Louisiana, and WINK News in Fort Myers, Florida. He is one of the local anchors for NPR’s Morning Edition on the market-leading WUFT-FM. When not working for news, Henry works as a forecaster for UF Weather, providing television and radio weather updates for WRUF-TV and all of UF’s radio stations. Dolores Hinckley

Dolores Hinckley is a producer and reporter for WUFT News. In her time at the station, Dolores has also worked with NPR national, covering Hurricane Michael from ground zero in Panama City and the protest of white nationalist Richard Spencer at UF. Dolores is currently interning with CBS’ “60 Minutes” before heading to Italy to intern for the Associated Press’ Rome bureau prior to her graduation in December 2019. Alexis Howard

Alexis Howard is a bilingual multimedia journalist and producer for WUFT News and Noticias WUFT. Some of the projects she has worked on at WUFT include reports on Hurricane Michael recovery and live election coverage. She also traveled to Puerto Rico to report on the island’s recovery after Hurricane Maria. Last summer, Alexis was a programming and strategy intern at Telemundo, and this summer she’ll be an associate producer intern at NBC Miami. Follow her @ItsAlexisHoward.

Grace King

Grace King is a special projects producer and news reporter for WUFT. She’s covered numerous high-profile events, including the March for Our Lives in D.C., Hurricane Maria’s aftermath in Puerto Rico and the Pulse Nightclub Shooting anniversary. Grace spent most of 2018 interning for NBC News, working on “Meet the Press” in the Washington Bureau and the News Specials and Elections Units in NYC. Sky Lebron

Sky Lebron is an award-winning multimedia journalist and play by play broadcaster. He anchors the sports segment for WUFT’s First at Five Newscast, and is a producer for the local edition of NPR’s All Things Considered. He is also a play by play broadcaster for Santa Fe College. Sky has interned with multiple minor league baseball teams and this year will be interning with WJCT in Jacksonville. He’s also worked at the Independent Florida Alligator and WCJB TV20. Daniella Mora

Daniella is a political reporter and associate producer for WUFT News. She serves the College of Journalism as an Ambassador, and is currently working to earn both a degree in Telecommunication News and Political Science. When she’s not in the newsroom, she loves discovering Gainesville’s best restaurants and is s

Sofia Millar

Sofia is a bilingual journalist with a passion for storytelling. She’s a Chilean native and spent years moving back and forth between Chile and the U.S. Her career goal is to tell compelling stories across the world. After working on special projects and reporting for WUFT, she developed a love for investigative journalism. She’s taking her talents to Monroe, Louisiana as an investigative reporter in June 2019. Claudia Perez Brito

Claudia Perez Brito is a bilingual reporter and producer for WUFT News and Noticias WUFT. She’s produced election coverage and reported on Puerto Rico’s recovery a year after Hurricane Maria. Claudia interned for CNN en Español and Telemundo. Outside of the newsroom, she’s normally glued to her tablet watching films or posting on Instagram. This May, she’ll join the NBC6 Miami team as an associate producer. You can check out her work online.

Camille Respess

Camille Respess is a reporter for WUFT News. The St. Louis native has a keen interest in special projects and spent most of 2018 working on them. She’s covered failing schools in Florida, staffing issues at the Gainesville Police Department and the uncertain future of school busing programs across the nation. Lauren Reynolds

Lauren is a reporter and producer for WUFT News. She specializes in sports journalism and photography. Lauren works as an associate producer for WUFT-FM’s local All Things Considered. Lauren is originally from Lakeland, FL and spends her free time photographing Gators sports events. She plans to graduate in May of 2020 and continue her career in sports journalism. Maria Roberts

Maria is a news reporter and anchor for WUFT News. She specializes in education reporting for WUFT’s First at Five Newscast. She is a passionate storyteller who loves reporting and sharing impactful stories. Maria hails from Tampa, Florida. When she’s not reporting, she spends her time giving tours of the College of Journalism with JCA and is involved with UF Panhellenic. Matt Serna

Matt Serna is a multimedia journalist for WUFT News. He is also a producer for North-Central Florida broadcast of NPR’s All Things Considered and anchors sports and reports news for WUFT-TV’s First At Five. Meredith Sheldon

Meredith Sheldon is a multimedia journalist for WUFT News. She’s produced special projects, reported for digital and broadcast platforms and anchored for the newscast. She loves investigative and innovative storytelling and has interned at news stations across the country, like KABC-TV, WPLG-TV and WGFL-TV. Raymon Troncoso

Raymon Troncoso hosts the North-Central Florida broadcast of NPR’s Morning Edition on the market-leading WUFT-FM, for which he has won statewide and national awards. Raymon also serves as a producer for WUFT-TV’s evening newscast. Raymon hails from South Florida and has a well known passion for breakfast. Outside of eating, he spends his free time training in combat sports or using Twitter, where you can join him @RayTroncoso.
