Florida Voices: Vietnam Veterans

Millions of Americans served in Vietnam from 1961 to 1975 during the United States’ military involvement in that country.
Today, thousands of them call Florida home.
And each has a different story to tell.
In conjunction with the September 2017 public television broadcast of Ken Burns and Lynn Novick’s 10-part documentary series, “The Vietnam War,” WUFT News set out across our coverage area to share as many of our local veterans’ experiences as possible. Below, you can find a longform audio interview and transcript of each conversation.
If you are or know a veteran from the Vietnam era living in north central Florida who also would like to participate, please email us at news@wuft.org or call 352-294-1525.
